An app + product design that focuses
on preventing/relieving carpal tunnel syndrome
In this project I had to prioritize the branding aspect rather than the function of the app and product.
Ideation

Needed two main components for final deliverable. These quick sketches would become the building blocks for the rest of the project.

Research

To get a better understanding of what people knew about carpal tunnel syndrome, I interviewed some friends and family. Questions that were asked included age, profession, and their experience with carpal tunnel syndrome.
Logo Design

(Going off of the name "Indy") Wanted to reflect speed, technology, and health.
Product Design

Automotive design has always been a large interest to me. I love seeing how metal and fabric are molded together to form a completely new product.

(Going off the name "Mako") Inspired by a shark and the materials found in vehicles.
Branding

Now that I had most of my research and ideation complete, I was ready to tackle the presentation and make a prototype for the app. In this collage of design elements, I wanted to examine their interactions and see how well they worked (or didn't work) with each other.

Here is what a potential website landing page would look like for the product and app to give users a taste of the brand.

Presentation

Here is the presentation of the brand I created in a case study format. What I enjoyed the most turned out to be the most challenging part, which was experimenting with motion to bring the presentation to life.
Mockups for app

These mockups were made to serve as potential ads for the app and product.
Walkthrough

Lastly, I recorded how a user might navigate the app while simultaneously showing how it functions.
